New Mexico Online Voter Registration


You can use this website to:
  • Register to vote in federal, state, county, and city elections in New Mexico.
  • Update your registration if your name or address has changed. You can also update your registration if you want to change your political party.

In order to register as a new voter or update your registration online, your personal information must match the information that is on file with the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division (MVD).

These are the things that must match:
  • Your social security number,
  • Your driver’s license number or state identification number, and
  • Your date of birth.


If you do not have a driver’s license or state identification card issued by the MVD, or would prefer to use a paper form to register to vote, please fill out the Voter Registration Form (English / Español) and send to your local county clerk’s office. You will find the contact information for all 33 county clerk offices here.
